Position:  Systems Administrator-Tier II
Reports to: Anthony Wright

Summary:  Provide a broad range of IT support and customer service to numerous clients both in-house (via remote software) and Onsite with a positive and respectful attitude towards ALL users at ALL times.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide general IT Support which includes but is not limited to:
    • Network administration.
    • System and application installation and configuration.
    • User training.
    • Maintenance and troubleshooting of both hardware and software issues.
    • Windows Server and Windows Desktop environment.
    • Server upgrades, migrations, and management.
  • Use exceptional customer service, problem solving, and effective written and oral communication when communicating with persons affiliated with Mentor Technologies.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Education & Knowledge Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of experience with computer systems or networking.
  • Experience working with computer hardware for installation and upgrades.
  • Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures.
  • Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures.
  • Ongoing “Continued Education” and skill maintenance required.

Skills & Abilities Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and commonly via phone, email, and live chats.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service by giving full attention, taking time to understand points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot system problems.
  • Good communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of competence (customers, co-workers, management, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work as scheduled (8am-5pm M-F with 1hr lunch).
    • Work schedule may differ for some technicians.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Diligent, dependable and prompt.

  • Results oriented.

Travel Requirement:

Local driving required. Valid OK driver’s license, valid insurance and reliable transportation required.


Physical Demands:

  • Requires an adequate range of body motion and mobility, with or without accommodation to enable the individual to perform the essential functions stated herein.
  • Requires Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Talking is important for those activities in which the incumbent must impart oral information to others to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or efficiently.
  • Requires Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds. Hearing is important for those activities that require ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound.
  • Requires Near Acuity: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. This factor is important when special and minute accuracy is demanded and defective near acuity would adversely affect job performance and/or safety of self and others.
  • Requires the ability to read and record data quickly and accurately; to prepare records and reports and post data; to avoid perceptual errors in performing computations.
  • Requires lifting: Exerting 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Mental/Emotional Demands:  Requires the ability to work and cooperate with customers and employees at all levels in order to exchange ideas, information and opinions to facilitate the task at hand.

Working Conditions/Environmental Conditions: Indoor working conditions via office or remotely at customer’s office.  In-person contact with users.
